Experienced, reliable dog walking - Wimbledon & Raynes Park
1 Hour Group Walks
My walks are carefully managed, enriching, and designed to meet each dog’s individual needs. Dogs are thoughtfully introduced and grouped, with a focus on calm socialisation, appropriate interaction, and positive experiences. Walks are structured yet fun, with gentle training naturally woven into every outing to encourage good manners and behaviour, not just tired legs.
On each walk we practise essential skills like sit, wait, recall, polite lead walking and threshold manners, helping dogs grow in confidence, focus, and patience over time.
Your pups adventures are shared on Instagram so you can see what they have been up to!

What makes us different
I started Dear Dog in 2020. What began as a love for walking quickly grew into a commitment to providing calm, structured, and thoughtful care for every dog I work with. Loving dogs doesn’t make you a good professional by default, you also need a solid knowledge of behaviour, body language, dog law, first aid and general safety and much, much more, which is why I am so driven to learn as much as possible.
Growing up on a farm, animals were a constant part of my life. From horses and dogs to sheep, goats, and chickens, I learned early on the importance of hands-on care, time outdoors, and respecting each animal as an individual. I went on to study Interior Design and worked in the corporate world for 11 years, but it never felt like home, which is what prompted me to follow my heart and work with dogs full time.
Almost ten years ago, I brought home my first puppy, Leica — a German Shepherd x Labrador — and quickly realised I was out of my depth. We began training together, and I haven’t stopped wanting to learn more ever since. Leica taught me invaluable lessons about behaviour, motivation, patience, and how to bring out the best in each individual dog.
A year later, my Italian Greyhound, Lego, joined the family, bringing endless laughter alongside a whole new set of challenges. With him came the constant balance of keeping a sensitive dog safe while still allowing him the freedom to be a dog.
This year I have welcomed Pepper, a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy into the team, with the goal of doing GRC and CaniX with her. Raising her as both a pet and sport dog is forcing me to take my skills to another level!
My dogs mean everything to me, and I understand just how difficult it can be to trust someone else with their care. That understanding is one of the main reasons I started Dear Dog, to offer the kind of thoughtful, reliable care I would want for my own.

Our Process
"Carly at Dear Dog is an amazing dog walker and trainer....she has been walking my two dogs with such care for over two years. She is particularly good with my anxious big boy setter and helped with building his skills and confidence. I have complete trust in Carly to keep my pups safe, and is always reliable which I appreciate. I would highly recommend Carly."

What Clients are Saying
"Carly has been walking Billie for almost three years now, she is the best dog walker we have ever had. She loves dogs and it truly shows in the care, effort and dedication she gives to each one of them. She is knowledgeable, professional and always goes the extra mile to make sure the dogs have a fantastic time.
She takes dogs to different parks so they always have varied walks in beautiful places, keeps them safe, cleans them after muddy walks, trains them to become well behaved. Carly is definitely Billie’s favourite person, we worry she might like her more than us!
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dear Dog to anyone who needs someone they can fully trust and wants the absolute best care for their dog."
Micol
"We’ve never had a more caring, truly dedicated and lovely dog walker than Carly. She’s superb. Very much liked and appreciated by the entire household, and our dog in particular. He could spend 24 hours a day with her and always comes back happily tired, socialised and…. ready for more. Dear Dog is the best of the best.."
Lawrence
"We have been with Dear Dog for over six years, and has cared for our 7 year old German Shepherd as if she is a member of her family, I'm pretty sure she is our dogs favourite person!
A regular highlight is seeing the videos of what our dog has been up to on her walks and it is clear that all the dogs are incredibly happy and well cared for.
Our dog returns home not only physically tired but also mentally stimulated, so she is an incredibly balanced and happy dog, largely down to genuine care and desire to provide the best service possible. I cannot recommend Dear Dog highly enough."

FAQ
-
Unfortunately not at this time. Feel free to get in touch and I can refer you on to some other professionals that may be able to help.
-
I aim to give dogs off lead freedom as much as possible, but their safety is my top priority so if their recall is not reliable (including around distractions) they will remain on a long line until they can be fully trusted.
-
I have an MPV with crash tested crates in the boot and 2 separate spaces in the back seat area so each dog has its own space. Once they know each other they are often happy to share but this depends on the individuals needs.

We get wet! We walk in all weather unless it is dangerous, or too hot. In the winter months we dry the dogs off as much as possible but please note we cannot do a full groom. In summer, walks might be moved earlier to avoid midday sun, and we always take extra precautions such as shady walks, drinking water with us, cooling mats and fans in the car etc.
-
If possible, yes, as that guarantees you a space. We are happy to do ad hoc walks when there is space available or we have cancellations etc. and will try to accommodate flexibility as much as possible.
